TOON CUP

is Cartoon Network’s fantasy football game for mobile and web. I was tasked with producing an on-air promo for the game’s 2024 edition

Our intent was to focus on the level of customisation available to players: they have loads of iconic CN characters to build their team from, they can play as any country they like, in any kit colour, and can even customise the design of the football. The brief asked us to make something that would fit in and compete against other fantasy football games on the market. We used these and other flashy football marketing imagery as jumping off points for visual references.

We captured this with our brands by pushing the in-game animations as far as they would go, utilising some crafty 3D motion within After Effects, flashy animation effects, tight and exciting editing and a focus on the sheer amount of customisation available to our audience. Considering the time and resource restraints we had, I’m very pleased with the promo result!
